What Is Indiana Education Scholarship Account?

INDIANA EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP ACCOUNT (ESA), funded by state tax dollars, provides education options for K-12 students with a disability, and income at or below the annual income qualification.

ESA funding can be used on private school tuition, homebased education, therapies, tutoring, and more.

Student Eligibility

  • Resident of Indiana
  • 5-22 Years-old; K-12 grade level
  • Must have a disability and require special education through an Individualized Education Program (IEP), Service Plan (SP), or ESA Service Plan (ESA SP)
  • Income at or below income qualification ($222,000 for a family of four)

Qualified ESA Expenses

  • Private school tuition/fees
  • Homebased education
  • Testing and examination services
  • Tutoring
  • Educational camp
  • Equestrian therapy
  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services
  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) services
  • Other services provided by approved providers

Since August of 2022, The MINDCAP Center has been an Education Scholarship Account (ESA) provider, offering services to families of children with a disability. With ESA, not only is the eligible child with special needs provided with funding, but their siblings may be eligible for funding as well!
