What Is Indiana Education Scholarship Account?
INDIANA EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP ACCOUNT (ESA), funded by state tax dollars, provides education options for K-12 students with a disability, and income at or below the annual income qualification.
ESA funding can be used on private school tuition, homebased education, therapies, tutoring, and more.
Student Eligibility
- Resident of Indiana
- 5-22 Years-old; K-12 grade level
- Must have a disability and require special education through an Individualized Education Program (IEP), Service Plan (SP), or ESA Service Plan (ESA SP)
- Income at or below income qualification ($222,000 for a family of four)

Qualified ESA Expenses
- Private school tuition/fees
- Homebased education
- Testing and examination services
- Tutoring
- Educational camp
- Equestrian therapy
- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services
- Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) services
- Other services provided by approved providers
Since August of 2022, The MINDCAP Center has been an Education Scholarship Account (ESA) provider, offering services to families of children with a disability. With ESA, not only is the eligible child with special needs provided with funding, but their siblings may be eligible for funding as well!
